    1. Hey Rtg. Don't think in that way. If you have a call then you also have chances for conversion. And these statistics keep on changing every year. So it might even go lower than this. All the Best !!!

      Delete
    2. Also the minimum CS is not relevant this year because the maximum marks were 218 and not 300, so be positive (one GEM Fresher to other).
Ps:I know its hard to be positive.

  3. 68? Did they used CAT percentile for calculating CAT score weight age?

    1. Hello. And frankly I would say I am not the right person to comment on this thing. The best would be sending an email to the admissions committee of IIM Raipur as they would are in an official position to give you this clarification. Thanks !!!

    2. Sir,

      I know it's naive.
Can you please tell me on how do I understand the numbers of waitlist movement?

      Delete
    3. Hey CJ. Sure let me explain it to you. So for instance in SC category the movement was 305. What this means is basically after the first merit list (the students who received a direct convert), 305 more students in the SC category were offered admission who were in the waiting list. I hope that made it clear how the waitlist movement works. Also, do tell me if you want to any further explanation :).

      Delete
    4. Sir,

For example : if SC category seats are 50, waitlist number is 70.

So, it means a total of 120 ppl were sent offers for filling up 50 seats?

Please correct me. In this scenario of seats 50 and wl 70

      Delete
    5. Hey CJ. And yes the calculation is correct as you have done. And no need for sir and all. Ronit is absolutely fine :)

      Delete
    6. Sure Ronit.
      Thank you for confirming !

So, in this scenario does the 'waitlist movement' come into the picture? [As there are 120 people vying for just 50 seats.]

Could you please help me explain that as well?

      Delete
    7. Hey CJ. So see the waitlist movement does come into the picture. For instance there are 50 seats in SC. So the college will call nearly 350 to 500 candidates for that 50 seats. Now out of those suppose 150 are eligible to be offered admission. Now out of these 150 the top 50 will be direct converts. The remaining 100 will go into SC waitlist. Now after the first deadline for instance out of 50 only 25 take admission then the next 25 (i.e. 1-25 from the waitlist) would be given an offer of admission. And this process of waitlist continues until all the 50 seats are filled. Thus, here the waitlist movement comes into picture. I hope this clarifies it :)

    8. Thanks a ton Ronit bhai for clarifying. I now understand how the waitlist movement works.

    1. Hey 20thwin. That is great according the the stats. And the composite scores change each year as well as the waitlist movements. So don't worry just stay positive and hope you get that convert. All the Best !!!

    2. hey 20thwin could you please share the detailed way in which u have calculated this score ?
Have you taken into account your cat scaled score only or divided it with the maximum? and what is the marking scheme for pi which you have followed?

  5. how to calculate our cat score out of 35?

    1. Hey. So regarding this conversion you will need to ask the admissions committee of IIM Raipur as the would be in an official position to comment on the same. Thanks !!!

  7. I don't understand for cs of above 48 kashipur percentile is 75 something and for cs of 43 udaipur percentile is 91.5 , how such a big difference is possible ?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Absolutely possible. First and foremost is every college calculates their CS differently. There is no one standard formula for calculating CS hence the difference. Thanks !!

  8. The CS for offered one given here is for 1st list students or the last student after waitlist movement?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. It is for the last student after waitlist movement. Cut off score is the score above which everyone was offered admission by the institute. Thanks !!!

  9. How do we calculate the cat score? If it's percentage in composite score is 40%?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Hey Ankusha. Kindly check the composite score calculation the link to which I have posted in the blog. That should give a fair overview of the calculation. If you still have doubts as to how IIM Raipur does it then the admissions committee would be the best authority to clarify the same to you. Thanks !!!

  10. Mine is 76 percentile and have cs of 63 (taking in a conservative PI estimate)

But here, the last percentile offered (SC) is 81 and cs is 53.

Not sure if I stand a chance...

    1. Hey CJ. Going by the figures it looks good chances to me. Don't look at the percentiles. Look at the CS that is much more important and remember these figures change every year. Thanks and All the Best !!!

  12. Hi sir!
So for general, I think only one waitlist was released as only 58 got in.
Also, I had an average PI , if I take (20/30) in my interview , then my CS is coming out to be 69.xx but I don't think I'll get such marks in the interview. Any chance that CS for raipur would go low this year?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Hello. And yes with the movement being low that might have been the case. Regarding the CS if what you are saying happens then you might convert but in the later lists. However, the CS keeps on varying each year and I would say don't lose hope. Stay positive and you might convert early as well. All the Best !!!

  14. Hi Rohit, last year because of COVID-19, the WAT was scrapped. Are these scores out of 100 or out of 90 since the weightage for WAT was 10 in final composite score for IIM Raipur. The same question remains for the other IIMs as well. It would be great if you could answer this.

    1. Hey Aniket. First of all you made a slight mistake in my name :) Secondly, thanks for this question. I will call up the admissions office tomorrow first things to get these clarified and update the same here. Will try to get it clarified from as many IIMs as I can and update accordingly.

    2. Thank you for correcting me Ronit. By the way, did the IIMs give any response regarding the query I had?

      Delete
    3. Hey Aniket. So I had called them up but they told me to drop an email only post which they would reply. They don't reply on phone for these queries. So if email is to be dropped bro you only send an email directly so that you can get whatever you want rather than I sending it and the loop taking time :)

  16. Hey one of my General friend got seat at 94.9 percentile, that too a direct convert!

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Hello. So see the thing is this data that I have mentioned has been provided to me directly by the institute under the RTI act. However, if your friend is at a lower percentile could you please ask him to contact me on email since if I get the proof I can reverify the data I have been provided by IIM Raipur. This is needed because if what you are saying is true that means the institute is providing false data which is illegal under the RTI act. So kindly contact me over email if possible. Thanks a lot :)

    1. Hey. This data has been officially provided by the institute so can definitely be taken as a reference point for this year's admission process as well. However, do remember that this changes every year. Thanks :)

    1. Hello.
I would have loved to bring in he statistics of Private institutes as well. However, unfortunately those do not fall under the RTI act through which I receive this data. And that is the sole reason why getting stats for Symbiosis and any other private institute is not possible. Thanks :)
