    4. HI, I scored around 85 percentile sectionals are va- 70, lrdi- 91, qa-80, acads are 85,85,86, SC category what are my chances to get calls from IIMs.

      Delete
    5. Hey.
As per your category and the acads mentioned, you can get calls from old IIMs (though less chances for ABC), while new and baby IIMs should mostly be for all of them (Please note I am considering you as a male engineer. However, if you are a female non-engineer then even ABC might be good chances). Though prepare well to cover up for the loss in percentile in personal interviews. Thanks and All the Best :)

    1. Hi Nihal.
I had filed to get the composite score from FMS, but it is one college which is always reluctant to be transparent and provide the data. I have filed a first appeal now and hoping that might get me the required data. Thanks :)

  3. I scored 92.43%ile in CAT (sectional 69.95, 95.72, 93.60) and my acads are 71,71,62, I'm an OBC male engineer with 0 workex. What calls can I expect so that I will fill those college forms.

    1. Hello.
According to your profile, the first is the sectional of 69.95 might be an issue for few colleges who put in 70 or 75 as the sectional cutoff for getting a call. But if you do clear the cutoffs for IIM's then you can get calls from new (IIM Ranchi, Trichy might still be somewhat difficult) and baby IIMs.

Apart from this you can also apply and get calls from IIT's such as IIT K, IIT M, etc.

  5. Hi Ronit..
Thanks a lot for the data in the first place..
Category wise composite score cutoff for the final offer of admission - is this the one including interview results or without including interview results i.e the composite score used for interview call?

Please clarify this doubt of mine and thanks in advance..

    1. Hi Deekay.
Most welcome and yes the CS mentioned for the final offer of admission is after the addition of the interview scores of the candidates. Thus, these are the final CS scores based on which it is decided if a candidate should be offered admission or not. Thanks :)

  6. Hi, do you have data for IIM L waitlist movements? TIA

    1. Hello.
I had actually asked for the same from the institute. But the institute did not provide me with the waitlist movements due to which I actually do not have the data. Thanks :)

  7. Hello,
I just wanted to confirm the mentioned stats are ranks or wait list no. ?
    Thanks

    Replies
    1. Hello.
The mentioned data for waitlist are ranks. Thus, when it mentions 584 for general, it means 584 students were offered admission across all the waitlists by the institute in the general category. Thanks and All the Best :)

What are the chances of converting?

    1. Hello.
EWS 41 should give you a convert as per my experience. But you might need to wait a few lists before you actually get the offer of admission. Also, please note this is as per my experience and might convert sooner or later. Thanks and All the Best :)

  11. Hello Ronit Gaikwad Sir, You are doing a fantastic job. All the data related to cutoff and CS of different IIMs in one place have made it very easy for a cat aspirant to get all the information. Appreciate it!

Sir this is my profile , i know it is good but want your expert opinion.
    10th - 68.4%
    12th - 67℅
    UG - 53℅ (B.A.)
    UG Professional - 58℅ (L.LB., Delhi University)
    no work ex

I'll be taking Cat 2022, and I'm curious about my odds of getting into blacki IIMs if possible at all, as well as the safe/good percentile for calls and conversions.

    Thanks in Advance

    1. Hello.
Thank you so much first of all for your kind words. I am happy I could give back in any small way to the MBA community !!!!

Coming to your profile, very frankly saying coming from the PWD category you could get into institutes at a much lower percentile. But I always tell candidates be it from any category your aim always has to be 99.9x !!! Never limit yourself by looking at what percentile you can get in.

Also, there is one problem with the profile though. Most institutes put a cap of 60 or 55 percentage in UG for fulfilling the admission criteria. Now you need to check if the same is applicable to PWD as well. And sadly if it is, then even at 100 percentile you won't clear the admission criteria for IIM's. But the good part is every institute has a different criteria. So you need to go through the same. Thanks, work hard and All the Best :)

    2. First of all, Thank you very much, Sir, for taking your valuable time and replying.
Returning to the topic, I completely understand and agree with your advice, and my goal is to get a 99+ percentile in CAT 2022.

As for the eligibility criteria, the undergrad qualifying criteria are just 50% for general and 45% for Sc/ST/Pwd, which applies to all IIMs, including Blacki. Any institution owned or funded by the central or state governments must respect this rule, which they do. I am telling you this because I have done extensive research on this topic, and you were not sure about this. Still, you can cross-check if you want.

I do not include any source links because I am unsure of rgcareerconsultants terms and conditions.
Again, Thank you very much, Ronit, Sir!

  14. Hello Sir,
I am aiming for 95-95.5 percentile and I am from NC-OBC reserved category. My academics are 96.6/91.6/85 in 10th/12th/grad respectively. Which calls can I expect from BLACKI IIMs and if SJMSOM and FMS or not

    1. Hi Rohan.
First of all your aim should only be 99.9x and above irrespective of the category you are in. The reason being if you target lower you will never achieve it in real. So always aim higher.

Secondly at 95-95.5 you should receive a call from SJMSOM. Looking at your profile quite possible to also receive calls from C,L,K,I. A & B I feel would get slightly difficult. However, you might receive a call if you have work-ex as well. But please note these predictions, I am doing in line with what I have seen over the years and your profile. So please do not take this as 100 percent accurate.

And again aim 99.9x plus. Thanks, work hard and All the Best :)

  16. Hello ronit sir..
    I am from pwd category.
My academic scores are 6/7/7 how much percentile I should target for getting top colleges.
Please reply you are doing an awesome work helping aspirants.
    Thank you🙏

    1. Hello.
Being from the pwd category you definitely have an advantage in the admission process. However, if you were to ask me about the percentile, then I would only say it as 99.9x plus. The reason being irrespective of the category, you should always aim for the highest percentile as that increases your chances of getting an admission in your dream institute.

Also, I am glad candidates are finding this data useful which was the main aim when I started doing this. Thanks a lot and All the very Best :)
