    2. Does DoMS have sectional or overall cutoff? Unable to find on website.

    3. Hi Bhumika.
As far as the document goes, the same does not mention any sectional or overall cutoff in public domain. However, even though there might not be a sectional cutoff every institute has an internal cutoff on the overall score for every category. Additionally, starting from the top candidates are always called in a certain ratio thus ensuring the internal cutoff remains. Thanks :)

  4. Hey, first of all thank you so much for what you do, it is really very helpful.
That being said, I have a doubt regarding this, it says here that for NC-OBC 208 students were offered but the current class strength is only 19 , does that mean only 19 was the merit list and the rest were in the waitlist movement and got in as the list progressed ? like if the first 19 joined the rest won't be able to join even though they were offered?

    1. Hi Sanjana.
Thank you so much for your words and I am glad you found this useful. Coming to your question, it simply means that in the NC-OBC category, a total of 208 students were offered admission. However, only 19 out of those that were offered admission actually paid the fees and took admission in the institute. Thanks :)

  5. Hey Ronit thank you for your great effort in collecting and collating all the datas in one blog!!! Also I have a query that only 74 were shortlisted from ews for interview but almost 81 got offer letter. Why is that Ronit ?

    1. Hey Kabilan.
Thank you so much for your words.
And I completely get where you are coming to. However, please note that IIT M also had a category of sponsored candidates. So there might be a situation that the remaining candidates might be from the sponsored list and hence the no is greater then those who were shortlisted for the interview round via the actual shortlisting process. Thanks :)

  6. Hey Ronit, does the final composite score include PI marks as well? Or is it the same composite score used to shortlist candidates for interview?

    1. Hi Akash.
The final composite score does include the PI marks as well. Thanks :)
