    1. Hey Naren.
Frankly saying no one can predict this. Hence, for me I too cannot comment on the same and the only thing we can do is wait and watch what happens as the admissions progress. Thanks :)

  5. How can the no of offers be 650 , when seats are so low

    ReplyDelete

    1. Hello.
That is because the institute gives buffer calls as well. And this data has directly been provided by the institute itself. Hence, it is official. Thanks :)

  6. Shortlisting score is less than selection score seems an abberation

    1. Hello.
The data mentioned here is correct for two reasons. First it has been provided by the institute itself under the RTI Act. Thus, it cannot be wrong. Secondly, the CS score calculation criteria for shortlisting to interview round (stage 2) and converting to receive a final offer of admission (stage 3) is different. Thanks :)

  7. Hello, in the above table - category wise waitlist movement. List 01 represents first merit list or first waitlist ? Pls confirm

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Hi Raghav.
In the case of IIM V data, the List 01 actually represents the first waitlist movement. Because if you add the data related to the waitlist movement, it does not add up to the total no. of converts. The reason is the difference were the no. of students who received a direct convert in the merit list. Thanks :)

  8. Hello,
What are my chances at vizag with wl rank 531 in obc category, and what will be the movement compare to last year?
    More? Or Less?

    1. Hello.
So according to last years calculations and the previous year I have seen, I would have stated almost impossible to convert at 531. But I have heard the institute is increasing its seats. With that you might be on the very edge for conversion. But again this is as per my experience as no one can say with 100 percent surety. Thanks and All the Best :)

  9. Hello,
Previous year the waitlist movement for general was 480. This year they are also increasing their seats . Is there any chance this waitlist will go up ?

    ReplyDelete

    1. Hello.
It is generally seen that with the increase in seats the waitlist movement should go up. But again this is just a prediction and cannot be guaranteed. Thanks :)

    1. Hello.
Frankly saying even with the buffer calls you should have a decent chance for conversion according to the movements I have seen over the years. However, please note this is as per my experience over the years. Thanks and All the Best :)

  11. Hello Ronit ,
Prateek this side . I want to know when are waitlist’s released -like every week or in 3-4 days ?

    1. Hi Prateek.
Frankly I have no idea about when are the waitlist released. The best people to tell you about this would be the admissions committee. So just drop them an email asking for the same and you should get a confirmed answer. Thanks :)

  12. Hello Sir
Initially I was waitlisted at WL- 214 (EWS). Now it has reduced to WL-78. What are my chances of conversion?

    1. Hello.
Frankly saying with the movement I have seen and the buffer calls I would give this a 50:50 chance. However, I still feel you might be able to convert by the last list. But again this is as per my experience. Thanks and All the Best :)

  13. Hey Ronit,
My first waiting list number for IIMV was 323 SC category, Now after 4th list it's come down to 79, do you think i can convert?

    1. Hi Chaitanya.
I would say you are actually on the very edge and it might go both the ways. However, I would say you should convert in the last list. Though please note this is as per the trends and my experience. Thanks and All the Best :)

  14. My waiting list is 630 general in the merit list and 430 general in the first waiting list in IIM -V do I have of getting admit in this college

    1. Hey.
The movement has been lesser this year as compared to for the batch of 2022-2024 which is majorly due to the excess buffer calls given by the institute. Yet I feel you should get an admit to the institute after a couple of lists. Thanks and All the Best :)
