Hi bro, Firstly thanks for this valuable information. Bro can you file a RTI on why Both IIMA and IIMC is giving only 2 to 3% seats for EWS CATEGORIES students where the original reservation stands at 10%.But for other categories more or less nearly they are following reservation norms.

Regarding the IIM A and IIM C thing, there could be multiple reasons such as exhaustion of the candidate pool, candidates not able to meet a certain threshold, etc. Though no one can say for sure. And the sad point is, RTI query cannot ask questions as to why the institute only offers admission to 2 or 3 percent of the candidates since the response would be this is as per the internal policy. Could in elaborate on what buffer calls and waitlist movement exactly mean? If possible via an example mentioned in the above mentioned case, it would very helpful sir.

DeleteSo buffer calls mean the admits given over and above the sanctioned seats. For instance if in a particular category, the sanctioned seats are 100 and the admits given are 150 then the additional 50 admits given are known as buffer calls.
While waitlist movement is when the candidates in merit list decline the offer for a better call and the merit list gets exhausted, the admit offers are sent to candidates in the waitlist. This process is continued till all the sanctioned seats are filled for the institute.

is this data legitimate? minimum perecentile of candidate who is offered admission is 93.9% (general). How is it possible!???

DeleteThe data is 100 percent legitimate and provided by the institute under itself in official capacity. The 93.9 i quite possible in case of non-engineer female candidates with stellar profiles including work ex and academic scores. Thanks :)
