  1. Hello Ronit,
Bro I belong to sc category and my cat 2022 percentile will be around 70-75%. My academics are not very good but tier 1 engg college, work ex of 13 months, and I have extra curricular activities so many like winner of young entrepreneur from iit Bombay, own startup company, work on govt project etc. Do I have any chance for getting call from new and baby iims.
Any info will help me to reduce stress.

    1. Hey.
See so first of all I would like to tell you that no one can give a 100 percent surety. But looking at your profile, I can definitely say that you should prepare for the interviews. You should get calls from quite a few new and baby IIMs. But then prepare well for the interviews since you need to cover up your score through great interviews to have a chance at admission. Thanks and All the Best :)

  2. Hey Ronit! you are a life-saver for MBA aspirants man! Thank you so much for these details, but I have a doubt , can you explain that waitlist stat for NC-OBC? any idea how many of those waitlisted ended up getting an offer of admission in that category?

    1. Hi Karthik.
Thank you so much for your words and I am glad the data is helping candidates.
Related to the waitlist movement, the no. for each category where I have mentioned total offers with WL were actually allowed to take admission at the institute. Thus, for instance in general category 5517 students were actually offered admission to IIM T. Thanks :)

    2. Oh great, thanks for the info bro and also do you know what was the least CAT percentile to get offered seats at IIM-T for the above year? NC-OBC in particular?

    3. Hey Karthik. Most welcome.
And apologies but the institute did not provide me with details of the percentile due to which I was unable to publish the same. Thanks :)

  3. Sir what does that mean "Category-wise composite score cutoff for the final offer of admission" does that mean "2681" candidates recieved admission offer in obc category?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Hey.
Yes it means 2681 candidates received the final offer of admission from the institute for OBC category. Thanks :)

  4. Hey can anyone please tell, what's the maximum score scored by candidate who applied for IIM CAP and appeared for interview as well.

    1. Hey Mayank.
If you are asking particularly about IIM Trichy, then I have mentioned the highest composite scores for each category as well. Kindly refer the same. However, if you are asking at the overall CAP level then it is difficult to find that. Thanks :)

      Delete
    2. Mayank I believe it can be somewhere around 135-140 if you are seeking this information for calculation of Udaipur.

  5. Hey can pls anyone clarify my doubt. The data shows that the composite score at waitlisted candidates was around 70.09 for General. And in the final admission offer it is showing that General candidates offered admission were appx 5517. Does it mean that a General candidate with CS 70+ was offered admission?

    Replies
    1. Hey.
No it might not be the case. So the problem Trichy did was that while for merit the mentioned CS means that everyone above the CS was offered a direct admission, for waitlist the meaning should be that anyone above that particular score became a part of the waitlist. Below that means a straight reject by the institute. Thanks and All the Best :)

  6. Sir are the number of seats expected to reduce given their impending deferred intakes? Or were the seat size increased to compensate.

    1. Hey Suresh.
I know these guys made a blunder last time in terms of admission but I am really not sure how they are going to compensate for the same. The best thing though would be to drop an email to the admissions committee asking for the sanctioned seats this time. Thanks :)

    1. Hey Pranay.
First of all congrats on getting interview calls. And going by your profile, the transcript of your interview and assuming you answered confidently, yes you should have a convert from both new and baby IIMs. Not all might be a direct convert but most will get converted eventually as these also have a higher number of waitlist movement. All the Best :)

  8. Ronit bhaiya, I think it would be better if you title the RTI info as "last calls score or the minimum score of last round" as some recent RtIs by some students have revealed that your numbers aren't wrong but are definitely not of the first list. They are all of the last list. Difference is significant when it comes to Jammu, Sirmaur for example.

    1. Hi Suresh.
I am not sure if you are confused but no where in any of the posts have I mentioned that the numbers are of the first list. I always publish the cutoff scores if you can see in the posts and cutoff in itself means the minimum score to have been offered admission to the institute. And minimum score will only come in the last list. I hope this would resolve the confusion. Thanks :)

  9. Does no one got admission Below 77.77 or I am missing something. Because in your data it shows 77.77 is for merit list. Could you be bit clear

    1. Hey Shivanshu.
So I have also given the data related to the waiting list cutoff above which every student was atleast in the waitlist for the institute. And merit list means the minimum score for candidates who had a direct convert from the institute. Thanks :)

  10. Don't you have data related to minimum CS score in waitlist who have converted.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Hey Shivanshu.
I would have loved to provide the same as well but sadly the institute did not provide me the same. Hence, I do not have it. Thanks :)

  11. So, does that mean, for the core program at IIM Trichy, the student who got admitted in general category had a composite score of 70.09?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Hey.
That is what I have stated above the institute while providing the data did not mention if the 70.09 cutoff is for the student who received a convert from the waitlist or is the cutoff for being on the waitlist below which everyone was rejected. Thanks :)

  12. Hello sir! I am waitlisted at 600 NC-OBC at IIM Trichy, will get offer in the subsequent merit list?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Hey.
As per the trends over the last couple of years, 600 should give you a convert though you might need to wait for a few lists before getting the same. Also, please note this is as per the data of the last couple of years and my experience. Thanks and All the Best :)

  13. And sir is there any chance of converting IIM trichy HR Program
    Waitlisted 98

    1. Hey.
I am considering that you might be belonging to the ST category. Yet you should definitely have a chance of getting the convert in a couple of lists. Though please note this is as per the stats and experience over the last couple of years. Thanks and All the Best :)

  14. Hi Ronit based on this RTI will 660 waitlist(general) in core program for Trichy stands a chance for conversion for 2023 -25?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Hey.
Yes as per the RTI 660 in general should give you a convert withing the next 3-4 lists. However please note this movement will also depend on the buffer calls and the admission offers accepted or rejected by the candidates. Thanks and All the Best :)

  15. Hi Sir. My CS after interview is 69.2 under EWS category. Looking at past year's data, how likely is it for me to get an offer letter? Thank you

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Hey.
The problem that the college did was it did not clarify if the minimum cs listed for waitlist was for those who converted from waitlist or those who were in the waitlist movement. But seeing the data for last year, I should say you do have a chance for convert, however, you will need to wait for a few lists before getting the same. Though please note this is as per my experience and no one can say with 100 percent guarantee. Thanks and All the Best :)

    2. Thank you for your response. One question though. Do you too feel this year's movements are not consistent with previous years trends? Looking at 2-3 WL movements realised by institutes, it seems very strange. Don't know if I would be able to convert.

      Delete
    3. Most welcome.
And yes this year the movements have been low due to the fact that most new IIMs have given excessive buffer calls which has led to the waitlist movement even stagnating in some cases. Thanks :)

  16. Hi sir, is there any chance of IIM Trichy PGPM-HR conversion?(GEM)
Waitlisted 92, and currently rolled out to waitlist 83

    1. Hey.
Yes waitlist 92 should give you a confirmed convert by the next 2 lists. Thanks and All the Best :)

  17. Hello sir, waitlisted at gen-545. The waitlist movement have have stopped for now as there is now vacancy. Is there a chance?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Hey.
As per the stats from the last couple of years, you should get the convert. However, no one can say for sure since this year there have been too much buffer calls due to which the waitlist movement has been impacted. Thanks and All the Best :)

  18. Hello sir, can I get a convert for pgp waitlisted 944 nc obc?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Hey.
As far as the trends go by this seems slightly difficult to me. Due to the fact that this year there have been a tremendous no of buffer calls given and that has led to slower waitlist movements across colleges. Though please note this is as per stats of the last couple of years and no one can say for sure. Thanks and All the Best. :)
