  1. Hi, big thanks for publishing this important information. I wanted to know that whether the composite score for final offer of admission is limited to the merit list or does it include the score of last waiting list as well?

    1. Hello and I am glad you found this useful.
Regarding the question, the CS for final offer of admission, is the score of the last candidate to have been offered admission by the institute. Thus, that includes candidates with waitlist movement as well who got admission. Thanks :)

  4. How come composite score for general is lower than EWS also the minimum percentile for EWS is 91.48. The data provided by IIM Jammu is not looking correct. Also thanks for publishing these data here.

    1. Hey.
There are quite a few institutes I have noticed over the last 3 yrs where due to excessive EWS candidate pool with a high score, has led to the CS for EWS overshooting general. Additionally, the data has been provided by the institute in official capacity. Hence, there is no way we can challenge the same unless we have some concrete proof in hand.

      Also, most welcome :)

  5. Hi, I'm fresher general (ews) non engineer male, I got call at 69.7 percentile, 8/7/5 was my past records. I got the pi call, what are the chances of converting the college?

    1. Hey.
See to be frank as per your profile, you need to be the best of the lot to get a convert. Though also remember that every candidate who has a call definitely has a chance of converting the institute. Just that the higher the score the easier it becomes and others have to cover the same via a stellar interview. So prepare well and you can convert. Thanks and All the Best :)

    1. Hey.
So see if you have got a call then it also means you definitely have a chance of converting the college. Though given your profile you shall have to be one of the best in the lot and cover the score in PI to ensure you get the convert. Thanks :)

    2. Hey Ronit
what about the new program like jammu hahm and bodhgya hhm program.
is this is possible with this profile with a not good not bad PI

    3. Hey.
Yes new programs should have a much better chance since those cutoffs generally tend to go low as compared to the core ones. Thanks and All the Best :)

Is there any chance to convert iim jammu

    1. Hi Ronit.
Well being a non-engg. and EWS does give you that benefit but the conversion still remains dicey frankly. The reason being the seats itself for EWS are 5 percent of the total strength and competition still remains high in this category. But still do not lose hope as your interview might be able to cover up for the marks. All the Best :)

    1. Hey.
Going through your profile and taking that you had a decent conversation with the interviewers, you should have a fair chance at converting all 4. However, merit list convert might be difficult though you should be able to convert in subsequent merit lists. Though please note this is as per my experience over the years as no one can give 100 percent surety. Thanks and All the Best :)

  9. Hi Ronit, first of all i am dumbstuck by your sheer effort. The whole blog is a so well put, thank you.

Now the reason i am making this comment is, I have 91.5 percentile (8/8/6) GNEM I require atleast 18/30 to get to 58 composite score, Hoping that i gave an above average interview, what are my chances for selection in IIM JAMMU or in BODHGAYA

    1. Hey.
Thank you so much for your appreciation. It really feels great knowing this is useful for candidates.

Also, if you have given an above average interview and the scores you are looking for mostly should get you a convert but quite late. Though there are some conditions. One is that the CS changes every year so it might go high or low depending on the peer group. Second your percentile is still on the lower side for the general group. These two factors would make it a 50 50 thing though I would bet on conversion.

Thanks and All the best :)

    1. Hi Varun.
Thanks for your comment. It really feels great knowing this small initiative did help the candidates.

Looking at your profile I would say you have a pretty decent chance of converting the new and baby IIMs. Though for the top ones like Ranchi, Trichy, etc. you might need to wait a few lists before conversion. Also, please note that this is as per my experience over the years and can vary. Thanks and All the Best :)

    1. Hey.
You should convert ones like Sirmaur but would need to wait for a few lists (if the college does not give huge buffer calls). But again this is as per my experience and stats I have noticed over the years and can go other way as well. Thanks and All the Best :)

  12. Sir, thank you for the information.
    CAT Percentile- 90.12
    10th- 89.3
    12th- 83.8
    Grad- 76.2
    Fresher, GEM Category.
Are there any chances of me converting with a decent interview?

    1. Hey Arv.
Looking at your acads and profile I would say you have decent acads. However, being a fresher and GEM works as a disadvantage. Thus, frankly saying even with a decent interview the chances would be 50:50 and you might be on the very edge. Though please note this is as per my experience over the years and can go other way as well. Thanks and All the Best :)

  13. CAT - 93.27
    GEM Fresher

I am in advance waitlist of IIM Jammu and wl 130 in Bodh Gaya. Interview was very good but I compared my profile with those already converted. The only thing I lack is workex.
The waitlist is stuck after 2-3 lists and everyone has laid term fees. Will waitlist move for IIM Jammu. In Bodh Gaya, it already reach wl 117.

Will I be able to convert Jammu?

    1. Hey.
Frankly saying just judging on the basis of percentile is extremely difficult if you will convert or not. And seeing that you are a GEM, and the waitlist movement this year, I would say the chances seem slightly difficult. However, this is purely based on what you have mentioned and can go other way as well. Thanks and All the Best :)

    1. Hi Aditya.
I truly understand your situation but please not stress up.
And considering the ranks you have given frankly for Sambalpur, Kashipur and Ranchi it seems extremely difficult as these institutes give excessive buffer calls due to which the waitlist movement generally does not go into 4 digits.

But please note you could always search for other institutes and also for the ones which you do not have a number for they might turn out to be within reach. All the Best :)
