I dont understand the waitlist moment. could you please explain? If 1798 were given offer in nc-obc , why is there a waitlist movement of only 165+48 when the class composition is only 103 for obc?

DeleteThe waitlist movement of only approximately 210 gives an understanding the the institute had given excessive buffer calls. And this is given majorly during the release of merit list. Hence, the calculation. Do revert back though if you are still confused. Thanks :)
does this 1798 had converted succesfully or student with waitlist are also in 1798 calls?

Category wise minimum CAT percentile means ?

DeleteYes every institute maintains a minimum threshold internally. But wait the PI you think might be bad might not be so for the interviewer. Everyone has a different perspective so don't get disheartened right away. Just prepare well for the other interviews that are in line and forget this one till the results come out. For ews minimum percentile for "offered" is almost 99 and 33% of the candidates who got CAP calls converted IIM bodh gaya. it's really hard to believe. I can convert raipur but have no chance in hell to convert bodh gaya. :(

And well now you can convert IIM BG much more easily than Raipur :)
Nice to see 600+ EWS candidates out of 6000, got the offer. Wait 10% of the EWS candidates got more than 98.9%ile... OMG. EWS me toh General se bhi zyada competition he XD

Does one requires to pay some fee to be in the waitlist or else they will be not considered in the next waitlist? Please clarify

DeleteThat depends from institute to institute. Some charge a fee to reveal the waitlist number and some don't. Also, these policies might change every year. So you will need to wait and find out if IIM BG does apply the waitlist fee or not this year. Thanks :)
I've received an email regarding discrepancy from CAP round authority that I must have included all the subjects of class 12th as I included only the 5 subjects that I board consider being ignorant of this fact at the time of form filling. So, my board percentage is 94 (including 5) and 92.67 (including all 6). Will it impact my admission to IIMs?

DeleteGenerally it should not impact your chances to of admission. But for safety purpose you can always drop an email clarifying your stance that you have mentioned only what was there in the report card. Also, mention rectifying the mistake, 92.67 was your percentage including the 6th subject as well. Thanks :)

DeleteSeeing your profile I would say that you should be able to convert a handful of colleges especially the baby IIMs. Though you might need to wait for a few lists before getting a convert. Please note that this is as per my experience over the years as no one can say with 100 percent surety. Thanks and All the Best :)
So first buffer calls are released. Then when the seats are still not full waitlist movement begins. Also could u mention the total general seats in IIM Bodhgaya. Also now that its avg package has increased to 16 lpa should we expect less waitlist movement.

DeleteAs per the policy document, there are a total of 300 seats including 210 gender neutral and the remaining 90 would be gender-neutral and girls supernumerary combination. Thus, the calculation could be done in the sense that the reservation percentages are as - NC-OBC (28), SC (15), ST(7.5), EWS (10), PWD (5 percent cross category). The remaining would be general category however, please note that in case OBC seats remain vacant the same are allowed to be converted to general as per GOI reservation rules. Thanks :)

DeleteEvery institute maintains an internal threshold below which no admit would be given even if seats go vacant. While as far as the package is considered there would not be a significant impact as the peer colleges too in question have moved ahead with the packages. Thanks :)

conversion of any baby IIM possible?

DeleteGiven the profile you have mentioned and the PI performance, you could get from baby IIMs. However, it would be only towards the fag end of admissions and frankly saying that too is not guaranteed. Though please note this is as per my experience over the years and can go other way as well. Thanks and All the Best :)
Do Cat score matter in the placement process of any IIM?Is there any minimum cat percentile criteria set by a company during placement?

DeleteNo as far as I have seen once you et an admission the CAT percentiles become irrelevant and the placement process only continues on the basis of your profile. Also, no such criteria is set by any of the companies at least of what I have seen. Thanks :)
