  1. Hello Ronit,
Are there any chances of FMS Data ?

    1. Hey Ankit.
I have filed for the first appeal to get the required data but FMS is generally one college which will even go to the extent of breaking laws to now provide the data and that is what will happen this time as well. Let's hope otherwise though. Thanks :)

  2. Sir this CS looks absurd, can u please check again.and also, ask them how they distribute 10 marks for graduation and work experience

    1. Hey Harshawardhan.
This data that I have shared has not only been confirmed by CPIO but also by the first appellate authority. Hence, there is no point that I can question them on. For grad, I suppose that would be equivalent to the CGPA (this is just my interpretation it might be different). No idea about the work experience calculation. The best thing I would suggest is to put in a mail to the adcom asking for the official thing. Thanks :)

  3. Hello,

I have 93.1 percentile in CAT(NC-OBC) with 1 year work ex for a startup in Business Operations domain. Do I stand a good chance to get into PGDIM course?

    1. Hello.
Yes you definitely have a chance. Just ensure you prepare well and give your best during the interviews. All the Best :)

    2. Hi Ronit,
I am done with the interview, and although it went pretty smoothly, I would rate it as Good, if not Very Good/Excellent, but definitely better than above average.
My profile is : 10th-92.40, 12th-73.08, Grad- 7.34(Civil), Work ex till Dec 21 - 12.5 months (Business Operations), CAT score-93.10(NC-OBC).
According to you, what are my chances of converting PGDIM.

    3. Hello.
With a very good interview you should definitely have a good chance of converting. Direct convert might be difficult but in later lists you should. Though no one can say for sure if your interview was one of the best it might also be a direct convert. Thanks :)

  4. If possible can u plz RTI replies of NITIE of past 2-3 years ?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Hey.
I have one for the previous year which was already share an year back. The link is already there for that post. And for this year the data is published in this post. NITIE is one college which is quite ignorant about RTI's so it takes a lot of follow up with them. Thanks :)

  5. Does NITIE considers only CAT score for PI shortlist ??

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Hello.
This is what has been stated by them in the reply that I received from them. Also, since its RTI the information cannot be wrong unless human error. Thanks :)

  6. hello Ronit, is 97 percentile the cutoff for both pgdim and pgdsm?
I have heard that the cutoff for pgdsm is a bit lower.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Hey Pranav.
I have just posted what I received from the institute. For PGDIM and PGDSM, they gave me just one reply as compared to different data in other questions. I suppose that means the cutoff is the same. Because the college won't provide fake data. Thanks :)

  7. I have 92.55%ile(77.4,95,92) NOC-OBC will I get NITIE call.

What is highest sectional percentile gone for NITIE in obc category ?

    1. Hello.
You definitely have a chance of receiving a call from NITIE. But again no one can give 100 percent guarantee but chances are pretty decent. Thanks and All the Best :)

  8. Hi Ronit
How come composite scores reach upto 80+
    cz 99%iler will around 25`~26.
So how is it even possible to get final composite score of ~80+ .
Or is there any other methods they calculate the CS?

    1. Hello.
I have the same doubt. Hence, I have again filed to get this data for reverification. But NITIE as an institute is slow to replies and that is my even bigger concern to get this data before the interviews. Will rectify this if it is wrong as soon as I get the confirmation. Also, for the same reason I have mentioned a not related to the same. Thanks :)

      Delete
    2. Hi Ronit, that's because NITIE uses Percentile not the score

      Delete
    3. Hey.
Thanks for the input. Because if this is correct then it explains why composite scores are touching 80's.

  9. Hello sir,
How is that 10 pts for experience calculated, like what will be points for 36 months experience

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Hey.
Frankly saying the institute did not provide me with this data. Hence, it will be difficult to comment. But you can either ask the admissions committee or file an RTI to get the same. Thanks :)

  10. In PGDIM, General category, 645 students were shortlisted for interview, out of which 550 were offered the admission... I am just really skeptical about this data ... this can't be true...

    1. Hey Yash.
There are lots of things that are an issue here, this is one the other being composite score and minimum CAT percentile. These guys have mixed the same. I have already filed another RTI to confirm the same. I hope the institute does the correct thing this time. Thanks :)

  11. Are the section cutt-off in percentile or Composite score?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Hey.
The sectional cutoff for qualifying to the interview round are all percentiles as per the data given by the institute. Thanks :)

  12. The number of students shortlisted for PI include both PGDIM and PGDSM? Or only PGDIM?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Hello.
I had filed a data to get separate data for both programs. But the institute provided me only a single table. Hence, I suppose it is a combination of both the programs. But I am frankly not sure about this and could not go higher since the data obtained is already through First Appeal. Thanks :)

  13. Hi,

How is it possible that the minimum converted percentile in each category is lower than the cut off percentile set for each category?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Hi Mayukh.
I know about that and NITIE has goofed up while providing information related to the same and now are not ready to even accept the mistake and provide correct data. Thus, now we have no way of verifying this though even I know they have messed up the CS and percentiles !!!!

  14. Hi ,
is it possible to convert at sc rank 45 for PGDSM course ?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Hi Rohan.
Yes, SC-45 has a possibility to convert atleast as per the stats I have seen for the past 2 yrs. But please note this is as per my experience. Thanks and All the Best :)

  15. Hi ronit ,
Are there chances to convert for PGDIM sc 221 in last lists .
After second list it has reached 102 .
Also do they give spot offers?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Hi Rohan.
Frankly saying SC-221 seems very difficult to me. And NITIE as far as I know does not give any spot offers. But please note this is as per my experience. Thanks and All the Best :)

  16. Hi Ronit,
I am a GEM candidate with 96.28 percentile with all sections above 85 percentile with 89.5,93,8.63 ,24 month work ex should I fill for Nitie?can I expect a interview call?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Hey.
Yes you definitely should fill the form. 96.28 does have good chances of getting an interview call and your profile is decent enough as well. Just prepare and well and you might even get a convert. Thanks and All the Best :)

  17. Hey, how is the Category wise minimum CAT Percentile for Offered Candidates for general category less than Category wise composite score cutoff for shortlisting to interview round. Please clarify as it will help me decide whether to apply or not.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Hey Bhumika.
I have mentioned in the note below that NITIE has goofed up on the data related to the percentile. However, the reply to my first appeal on this was that - "The institute is not liable to provide any kind of clarifications hence treat the data as it is". Thus, I have left the same without any chances to it. Thanks :)
