  1. What was the sectional Cut off ? As I have seen , they have mentioned sectional cut-off in previous rti but in this rti they haven't mentioned sectional cut off?

    1. Hey.
Sadly the institute did not provide me with the sectional cutoffs this time and hence I could not publish the same. Thanks :)

  2. I am confused, my Waitlist number was above 1000. How is that possible if only 823 gave the interview.

    1. Hey.
So the point is I merely disseminate the information provided by the institute. However, it would be great if you could provide me with some kind of proof related to the WL no so I can then take it up with the institute on official terms. Thanks :)

    2. The reason for your WL number to be over 1000 could be that people from other categories are also offered seats under general category if they are also scoring more than the criteria of general candidate CS score

    3. Did you convert last year? Do you remember how much was the maximum open merit rank of the general category?

    4. Hey.
I completed my MBA in 2021 itself from IIT B. And sadly I do not remember the last rank as the institute did not share the same and only the data available above was share by the institute. Thanks :)

  3. Hi Ronit. So if I recall correctly, the data for kashmiri migrants as a separate category was included in last year's data provided by you, but it's missing over here. Can you please throw some light on the number people who convert from the km category

    1. Hey.
I know last year the institute had provided the data. But somehow this year the data related to KM category is missing. Hence, I could not publish the same. Thanks :)

  4. Hello Rohit,
I want to know about the 55 marks in composite score... is it scaled score or percentile can you elaborate.

    1. Hey.
So frankly saying the institute did not specify that clearly. However, as per the CS bifurcation it should have been the scaled score that they take into account. But the best way to get a full proof confirmation is to drop an email to the admission committee. Thanks :)

    2. I guess the score out of 55 is percentile because how come a person can score 99.5/100 (composite) if scaled score is taking under consideration, i think they're using percentile what you think.

    3. Hey.
Yes quite possible they are using percentile to get the score. Though the final confirmation can only be taken from the admission committee. Thanks :)

  5. Hi Ronit, thanks for the information.
Can I now how are the 14 marks for grad score distributed? The admission team is not providing that info.

    1. Hey.
I was expecting this that the institute would not give the data. You will need to file an RTI on NITIE to get that through legal means now. Do the same and you should have the data in about a month. Thanks :)

  6. my rank is ST-26 in PGDIM NITIE, any chance it will get converted??

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Hey.
As per the stats from the last few years, ST-26 should be a convert in a couple of lists. Though please note waitlist changes every year and thus no one can be 100 percent sure. Thanks and All the Best :)

    1. Hey.
As per the trends seen over the last couple of years 169 should be converted by the second or maximum by the third list. Thanks :)

  8. Hi Sir, I have an Open Merit Rank of 471 and am a general category student. Will I be able to convert it. Seeing the past 2 year trends I observed that the waitlist moved till 550 and 578 in 2023 and 2024 respectively.

    1. Hey.
As per the trends, I feel you should be able to convert but that would only be possible by the last lists. This is also due to a fact that with the news of NITIE being given an IIM status coming in, the demand for the institute would increase which can lead to a reduced waitlist movement. Thanks and All the Best :)

  9. Hello Sir, I am in general catagory and my wait list number is 460. Should I expect a conversion?

    1. Hey.
Seeing the stats for the past few years seems on the edge to me. Though I feel you should be able to convert in the very last list. But please note this is as per my experience and stats and thus can go other way as well. Thanks and All the Best :)

  10. Hey, how is points given to grad score and cat score?

    1. Hi Tharun.
I had asked the institute to provide the same as well. However, sadly they did not provide this data in the reply. Going by the general trend it would be done through scaling the score. Though you could also drop an email to the admissions committee seeking clarification on this. Thanks :)
