    1. Hello.
No the percentile shows that the minimum CAT percentile from General category who was given an offer of admission was 91.09 percentile. Thanks and do revert in case of any queries. :)

    2. Thanks for the reply. I have secured 89.05%ile, NC-OBC. Should I apply?

    3. Hey.
As far as the statistic goes you should definitely take a chance. However, you will need to give a very good PI for conversion. Thanks :)

  3. Hi
Last year the PI shortlist was calculated for 100 right. Here it is mentioned as 95.
Can you pls clarify on it.
When I saw the website before cat2022 forms were uploaded, it was mentioned cat-70,12th-5,grad-5, gender-10, professional degree-5,workex-5.
Can you pls mention how was that 95 calculated?
Btw, I'm soring 35.793 based on the above mentioned criteria.

    Is it advisable to apply?

    1. Hey.
I was already guessing someone might ask this question. So when I got the response of RTI, it was clearly mentioned that this score is out of 95 and that is why I too mentioned the same over here. The institute has not provided me a break up of the 95 marks.

Coming to your score, I would definitely say that you should fill the form. The reason is the scores fluctuate every year and this year if it goes down you might get a shot at the interview. All the Best :)

    2. Hi bro.
Just now i noticed your reply. Thanks for your immediate reply and sorry for my late acknowledgement.
Anyway, last year the final calculation was out of 95. So, just on my guessing, could that be entered by mistake in the RTI?

    3. Hello.
      Now worries and most welcome.
See if you are asking about the calculation of composite scores that is mentioned as 95, it was written exactly that way. And when I confirmed from internal sources as well they too confirmed it was 95. So that is the reason I have mentioned 95. Thanks :)

  5. Is 49.9 the minimum composite score for the direct convert just like it was mentioned in last year's rti?

And, Why is the waitlist movement (450) almost double than last year's 230?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Hey Aditya.
No the 49.9 is the minimum composite score i.e. the CS of the last candidate to bag an admission from the institute. Thanks :)

  6. composite score cutoff for the final offer of admission means what?

That it was the CS of the last selected student or the CS of last waitlisted student?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Hey SP.
CS for the final offer of admission indicates the score for the last selected student by the institute. Thanks :)

  7. Great work, thanks a lot for this
    Just wanted to ask

Why is there so much difference in 20-22 year's minimum cutoff and 21-23 year's minimum cutoff?
Has there been increase in the number of seats or something

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Hello.
The seats were increased from the batch of 2020-2022 itself. One reason I could see is students delaying the decision to pursue an MBA due to covid itself. But this too is my interpretation and as such the cutoffs and all keep changing every year.

Also, thanks a lot for your kind words and appreciation. :)

  8. Hello Ronit.
Can you please help me out on the minimum composite score for the final offer, for a direct convert..
Any approximate figure would also be very helpful..
    Thanks in advance!

    ReplyDelete
  9. Hello.
See frankly saying the composite scores keep changing every year. But if I have to guess being an alum, I would say somewhere between 60 and 68. Though this is a very rough estimate. Thanks :)

  10. sir, im waitlisted 240 in general category. is there any chance of conversion?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Hello.
Yes you should get a convert by the 5th List or so. However, this is as per my experience over the years and no one can say anything for sure. Thanks and All the Best :)

  11. sir my WL is 495 any chance for conversion

    Replies
    1. Hello.
Frankly saying 495 is extremely difficult to convert. Over the years 450 that is mentioned has actually been the highest as far as I know. But again this can go other ways with an increase in seats in better institutes. Thanks and All the Best :)

I am assuming that you belong to the general category and so yes you have very good chances of converting the offer to SJMSOM in the coming few lists. Thanks :)
