Is category wise composite score for shortlisting to interview round not provided
ReplyDeleteHey. I don't understand, how they could just have this much vacant seats considering sjmsom easily falls under top 15 colleges?
DeleteHey.
DeleteYes SJMSOM is within the top 15 in the country. But the vacant seats are due to the exhaustion of the available candidate pool. And as per the govt. regulation you can convert only vacant OBC seats to general and not the others. Thus the vacancy. Thanks :)
Much needed, thanks!
ReplyDeleteHey Bhumika.
DeleteMost welcome and All the Best :)
Thanks, very helpful!
ReplyDeleteBut do we not have information about minimum composite score for interview call?
Hey Saumya.
DeleteI am glad you found the data useful.
Regarding the CS for shortlisting to interview, I had asked for the same however the institute sent the minimum percentile and hence I could not publish the minimum CS. Thanks :)
Sir are these stipends per month or per year ? Sorry sir I know it is a very stupid question to ask .
ReplyDeleteHey.
DeletePlease confirm to which link are you referring to by stipends. If it is about the placement reports the figures are for 2 month period since summer internships are for 2 months. Thanks :)
This whole website is actually very helpful. Just dropping in to let you know you're doing a great job!
ReplyDeleteAlso is it possible for you to ask Sjmsom again about the CS cuttoff for PI shortlisting?
Hey Saksham.
DeleteThank you so much for your words and I am glad you found the website helpful. And related to the data sure I shall once again try getting the data from the institute. Thanks :)
Sir please add iim Jammu as well
ReplyDeleteHey Manav.
DeleteI have already filed to get the data for IIM Jammu. Thus, I shall publish the same as soon as I receive it from the institute. Thanks :)
Bhai I got 98.61 Percentilei in CAT 2022,OBC, what are the chances, ? 10 th 12 is in 70s
ReplyDeleteHey.
DeleteCongrats on the score and very good chances with a good interview. If not merit at least in subsequent list there should be definitely a convert. Thanks and All the Best :)
Average PI marks that students got for SJMSOM
ReplyDeleteHey.
DeleteApologies but I do not have such a data currently. And it would be difficult for anyone to comment since the scores are scaled and depends from faculty to faculty. Thanks :)
How is General seats in class composition reflected as 82 where as there are just 62 General seats.
ReplyDeleteHey.
DeleteThe vacant OBC seats are convertible to general as per the policy and that is what has happened. If you calculate the total seats the quota of 28 percent you can know the no. of seats that got converted. Thanks :)
Hi sir got 96.97 percentile cat nc obc had a above average interview.what are my chances of convert?
ReplyDeleteHey.
DeleteIf I go according to the score and interview performance, then you should be getting a decent chance of conversion. Though merit list might be slightly difficult but eventually you should. Please note that this is as per my experience over the years as no one could be 100 percent sure. All the Best :)
Hello sir ,today sjmsom result 2023 are out and I have 76 wl in sc category.what are my chances ?
ReplyDeleteHey.
DeleteAs per the trends I have seen over the years, you should get the convert. However, you will need to wait for a few lists before you actually get the admission letter. Though please note this is as per my experience over the years and can go other way as well. Thanks and all the best :)
Hi sir waitlisted at 159 nc obc this year what are my chances of conversion sir
ReplyDeleteHey.
DeleteLooking at the general trends over the years, you are actually at the very edge and thus the chances frankly saying are 50:50. However, I would still bet on you getting the convert but by the last list. Though please note this is as per my experience over the years. Thanks and All the Best :)
Sir my wl is now 83 nc obc after 2 wl movements.what are my chances sir
DeleteHey Sir, I'm waitlisted at 420 this year for General category, what are my chances of conversions?
ReplyDeleteHey.
DeleteFor General Category and as per the trends, 420 might just be on the very edge and you might get a convert in the very last list or the spot rounds if they are converted. However, the chances cannot be stated for sure. Thanks and All the Best :)
Hello sir 2 wl have been announced till now and my wl is 46 in sc now. what are tha chances?
ReplyDeleteHey.
DeleteAs per the waitlist movements seen over the last couple of years, I feel 46 in SC should give you a convert however you would need to wait for a couple of more lists for the same. Thanks and All the Best :)
Can you tell something about spot round in SJM ?
ReplyDeleteHey.
DeleteSo spot round if it is conducted is the last round taken up to fill the vacant seats. Post all the waitlist movements being completed, if there are still vacant seats and candidates in the candidate pool, they are directly called up and asked if they want to take an admission. If the answer is YES, a very short time window is given to deposit the confirmation amount. If NO then the opportunity moves to the next one in the list. Thanks and All the Best :)
Sir, my wait list number is 146 in general catagory. What are my chances of conversion
ReplyDeleteHey.
DeleteGeneral 146 should be a nearly confirmed convert in a couple of lists. However, please note this is as per my experience and the trends I have seen over the years. Thanks and All the Best :)
Thank you!
DeleteHI
ReplyDeleteHey :)
DeleteHey sir, after how many rounds of regular WL movement do spot round usually starts?
ReplyDeleteHey.
DeleteWell the no. of regular waitlist movement details would only be available with the admissions committee. The best thing thus to do would be to drop them an email asking clarification on the same. Thanks and All the Best :)
Hi Sir, my initial waitlist no was 176 in general category, after two list its 88 now. What are the chance according to you?
ReplyDeleteHey.
DeleteAs per the trends I have seen over the years, 88 after 2 lists should give you a convert in the next 3-4 lists. Though please note while the list in which you convert can vary but its almost certain you should get the offer. Thanks and All the Best :)
Hello sir i was waitlisted at 273 in general category and and now after two lists i am at 185 GEM , could you please tell if i will be able to covert my call?
ReplyDeleteHey.
DeleteYou should be able to convert 185 as per the waitlist movements I have seen over the years. However, it might be post quite a good number of lists and you might need to wait for upcoming 4-5 lists. Though please note it can go lower or above that as this is just a prediction based on my experience. Thanks and All the Best :)
I got wl-235 in general category. Its 148 now. Is there a chance, and if so after how many waitlists could I get a convert?
ReplyDeleteThanks.
Hey.
Delete148 should give you a convert in the next couple of lists. However, please note this is as per what I have seen over the years. Thanks and all the best :)
Hello, my waitlist number was 254 at the time of result declaration (GEN category). Currently, it is 140 after three waitlists. Can you tell me about my chances of conversion?
ReplyDeleteHey.
Delete140 after 3 lists should still give you a convert as per what I have seen over the years. Thanks and All the Best :)
Any idea on how many waitlist will be published this year.
ReplyDeleteWait list no. 61 on third list, chances?
Thank you in advance.
Hey.
DeleteI am assuming you belong to the General category. This should be an easy convert in the upcoming 3 lists. Thanks and All the Best :)
Hello Sir. My original WL was 110 in SC category and now after 3 lists it has reached 70. What are my chances of converting?
ReplyDeleteHey.
DeleteAs per the trends over the years, 110 in SC is almost on the edge for conversion. Though I feel you should still get a convert in either the last list or the spot round. Thanks and All the Best :)

ReplyDeleteHey Sayantan.
DeleteI am glad you found the website useful.
And as per the trends I have seen over the years, 206 in general should give you a convert at SJMSOM, though you would need to wait for a few lists. Thanks and All the Best :)
Hello Sir, My wait list number has come down to 4 in the 4th list. What are my chances in the next list. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteHey.
DeleteIf you are from General, NC-OBC or SC categories, then 4 should be giving you a convert in the next two lists. For others the movement itself is rare as you can see. Thanks and All the Best :)
General category, sir.
DeleteHey.
DeleteIf you are from general then you should have converted the institute by now with the new list. Do let me know. Thanks :)
Converted , Thank you...sir
DeleteHey.
DeleteSuper congratulations and all the best for a fulfilling 2 years at the campus. :)
Thank you 🙏
DeleteSir now 28 wl in sc after 4th list .what are the chances ?
ReplyDeleteHey.
DeleteYou should get a convert after a couple of lists as per the trends I have seen over the years. Thanks and All the Best :)
Sir Last yr 19 waitlist movement happened each on one week gap
ReplyDeleteHey.
DeleteSee the waitlist movement is always unpredictable. Thus, even if it was 19 last year, it might be higher or lower this year depending on various factors. Thanks and All the Best :)
Right now I'm at SC 20 after 4 waitlists. 2 more waitlists are left after which spot rounds will take place. What are my chances?
ReplyDeleteHey.
DeleteI feel you should still get a chance in the spot rounds of bagging a convert. Do tell me how it pans out as I suppose all lists should have been out by now. Thanks and All the Best :)
I converted, thank you :)
DeleteMost welcome.
DeleteAnd welcome to the SJMSOM Family :)
Hey after how many days will the spot round start, after the release of 6th list?
ReplyDeleteAlso, SC 13 after 5th list. Chances?
Hey.
DeleteSpot rounds should start once the 6th list timeline for payment is over. The timelines though in spot rounds are really short so if you want to take admission ensure you have the funds handy. Thanks and All the Best :)
After 6 waiting list payment windows are smaller than previous
ReplyDeleteHey.
DeleteThat is the general trend throughout the years as post 6th list generally the institute begins its spot rounds due to which the payment windows become smaller. Thanks :)

ReplyDeleteHey.
DeleteYou might have slight chances in the spot rounds that are conducted. Though again you are on the edge and seeing the movement currently conversion looks slightly dicey. Thanks and All the Best :)
Hi, Thanks for guiding us.
ReplyDeleteIts been 5 list now
Movement is like this(GEN): 50,35,27,20,16
For me its been 173-> 25 in five list
Will I get a convert?
Or now the movement will be very slow to not give 25 a convert?
Hey.
DeleteSeeing the trend I still feel you should be able to convert though in the spot round. But again this is as per my experience on what I have seen and can go the other way as well. Thanks and All the Best :)
Hi are the wait list trends in 2023 in line with the ones in 2022, as per your understanding? Initial wait list was 320 in Gen, as per last waitlist this tuesday it is at 180. What are the chances? Thanks.
ReplyDeleteHey.
DeleteAs per what I have seen this year the waitlist movement is actually slower as compared to the last 2 yrs is what I feel. And 180 after nearly 5 lists is extremely difficult to convert as spot list offers won't be to those ranks. However, please note no one can be 100 percent sure. Thanks and All the Best :)
You are providing very useful information, Keep it up.
ReplyDeleteHey.
DeleteThank you so much for your comment and I am glad you found it useful. :)
Sir wl 17 in sc in 6th list .what are the chances now?
ReplyDeleteHey.
DeleteThere might be chances of receiving a call for admission during the spot rounds. However, this is again as per what I have seen and also depends on the movement during spot rounds. Thanks and All the Best :)
Sir after 6 normal rounds my wl is 45. Sir do u think 45 general wl will convert in spot?
ReplyDeleteHey.
DeleteA movement of 45 frankly seems difficult to me in the spot rounds as per what I have seen over the years. However, this is as per my experience and can always go the other way. Thanks and All the Best :)
Six lists are out, at 13 on the list.
ReplyDeleteWhat are the chances (GEN)?
Spot round starts now?
Thank you!
Hey.
DeleteYes quite good chances that you might get a call for admission at rank 13. However, please note this is as per my experience over the years. Thanks and All the Best :)
how did we got 19 waitlists last year? They have just started spot round after 7th waitlist this year. Did sjmsom conducted a spot round last year and if so after which waitlist?
ReplyDeleteAlso I am currently at gen-73 right now. Is it possible to convert in spot round?
Also will it be possible that there would be further waitlists after spot round?
Thanks for your help.
Hey.
DeleteSo the data was given to me by the institute itself and quite possible that they included spot rounds too as waitlists as the same are conducted every year.
Regarding your current status, 73 looks slightly dicey also because of the lower waitlist movements in other institutes this year, plus generally it is difficult for the list to move this much in spot rounds. And no there would be no further waitlists post spot rounds.
Though please note this is as per my experience over the years and can go other way as well. Thanks and All the Best :)
250 Gen movement in spot rounds is it totally impossible?
ReplyDeleteHey.
DeleteAs far as what I have seen that no. is generally never reached in spot rounds. And this year even difficult as the waitlist movements across institutes have been slow. Thanks and All the Best :)
Hello Sir,
ReplyDeleteWhat do you think could be the reason for slow waitlist movement across all the institutes?
Hey.
DeleteThis is a common issue across institutes this year and has been majorly caused due to the excessive buffer calls given by institutes. Since the buffer itself is moving slowly, in some cases there have been zero waitlist movement. Thanks :)
CAT PERCENTILE- 93.04
ReplyDeleteCS - 34.4502
Should I apply to IIT Mumbai, are there any chances of conversion?
Hey.
DeleteThe conversion chances would depend on the category too. Hence, kindly inform the same. Thanks :)
My current waitlist number is 95( GEN), any chance of conversion?
ReplyDeleteHey.
DeleteConsidering the date we are at the movement is going to slow down. In this case you would need to wait for the last few lists to see if you get the admission though I feel you should. Thanks and All the Best :)
Thank you. Currently after publishing the 5th waitlist the number is 80(General). Do I still have chances? Seems like the waitlist movements this year is slow compared to last year.
DeleteHey.
DeleteThe movement actually seems less this year. But the chances seem to get bleak with every passing list. You might need to wait for the last lists to get the convert if the movement reaches there. Thanks and All the Best :)
My current waitlist number is 36(OBC) after 6th waitlist. What are the chances of conversion?
ReplyDeleteHey.
DeleteAfter the 6th list at 36 it seems a little difficult as the movement seems less this year. Thanks and all the Best :)
Hi, my wl no has gone from 170 gen to 47, but it's in 7th waitlist. Is there a chance in spot round?
ReplyDeleteHey.
DeleteApologies for being late to reply.
You might get a shot at the spot round but it will depend entirely on the vacancies as this year the movement seems slow. Thanks and all the Best :)
For spot round, do they give a mobile call?? Because they mentioned a zoom call in the mail a week ago, but there has been no follow up post that. Also, my wl number is 411 as of now. Do I have any chance in spot round??
ReplyDeleteHey.
DeleteGenerally its over a web call or email. But 411 seems a bit too stretched considering this year this has been significantly lesser movement as compared to yesteryears. Though would hope it goes the other way. Thanks and All the Best :)
