Jeez the minimum percentile required for PWD candidate has shot up by such a huge margin. What do you think that'd mean?
ReplyDeleteHello.
DeleteOne direct indication of the same is that the PWD candidate pool actually had quite some candidates with high percentiles. Others being the reservation of 5 percent leading to less seats and more candidates for institutes like IIM B. Thanks :)
Hey! First of all thank you so much for sharing the RTI replies it really helps to see insights on whats actually the scenario. Please post RTI for IIM amritsar HR program because no proper information is available. It will be really appreciated.
ReplyDeleteHello.
DeleteSorry for the delay in replying back and thank you so much for your kind words. Regarding IIM Amritsar, I have already appealed to the Central Information Commission against the institute. The reason is first - the institute is asking me Rs. 10000 for provision of the admission data quoting 3 days of manpower required.
Secondly, despite the RTI rules clearly stating not to provide any identity document except BPL card if applicable, these guys have declined twice stating no aadhar card provided. Hence, I have already applied to CIC but the problem is that procedure takes an entire year until the hearing completes. I will still try my level best to see what I can do to get the data. Thanks :)
Can you please upload Stats for MDI, GURGAON both programs ?
ReplyDeleteHello.
DeleteI would have surely loved to do that but all the data I get is through the official means of RTI. And RTI is only applicable to the government / public funded institutes. Thus, since MDI is a private one it does not fall under the ambit of RTI and thus would not give this data. Thanks :)
First of all, thank you for the info. It is very helpful. But why are the number of students in current class composition less than number of students offered admission.
ReplyDeleteHey.
DeleteMost welcome and I am glad you found the information helpful.
Coming to your query it is simply because of the waitlist movement. Not every student who is offered an admission by IIM B will necessarily take admission to the institute. Thus, the difference between the total offered and the actual current class strength. Thanks :)
For Ews 45 seats are offered and in final 36 people in class, so can we understand this as 9 Waitlist movement for Ews?
ReplyDeleteHey.
DeleteNo that interpretation is incorrect. The institute actually offered seats to 45 candidates. However, only 36 took admission and there were no further candidates in the waitlist. I hope this clarifies. Thanks :)
Hi Ronit, wanted to get a clarification on if the offered CS is the CS of the last candidate who got a direct convert or the last convert overall including waitlist.
DeleteHey.
DeleteThe offered CS is the CS of the last candidate to have been offered admission by the institute. And this would always be the one who converted the institute from waitlist. Thanks :)
