  1. Hello Ronit Sir,
Waitlisted at EWS 40 initially and now currently at 30. Upon observing the movement for EWS upto 44, can I expect offer for admission?
Hopeful to convert as this is my best possible convert

    Thank You in advance

    1. Hi Deep.
You are on the very edge for conversion hence frankly saying 100 % confirmation is a little difficult. However, the good part is you are on the inside edge which means you might still get an admission by the last list as per the trends. Do note though the movement changes every year. Thanks and All the Best :)

    1. Hi Mohit.
Considering the profile that you have, see frankly saying first getting a call is going to be difficult. The reason being the minimum percentile you see would be for candidates who have work ex. Second if you get the call which has a 50 percent chance, then you will need to be the very best and gain maximum in the interview which though can be done is going to be an uphill task. I would still suggest prepare well. Thanks and All the Best :)

    1. Hey.
Based on your profile, the CS and other stats, there is a good chance you should be getting a call for the interview. However, you might need to be at your very best to bag the admission offer and coverup for the deficit in percentile in the final interviews. Thanks and All the Best :)

    1. Hi Dev.
Given your overall profile and the trends you should be able to get a call for interview. For conversion you would need to put in a little more efforts to get good marks in the interview to bag the final convert but the same is doable. Thanks and All the Best :)

    1. Hi Mohan.
You have a great profile and should be receiving interview calls from almost all the IITs. For IIT B and D you might need to put in a lot more efforts though to bag the convert while for others a decent interview should get you the admit. So prepare well and All the Best :)

Go ahead and apply though the chances of getting a call if 50:50 I would say due to being a fresher. Also, remember if you get a call you will need to practice and push hard to be at your best for bagging the final admission offer. Though note nothing is impossible if you prepare well. Thanks and All the Best :)

    1. Hey Jaishankar.
As per your profile while your percentile is a little on the lower side your other aspects are making up for the same. Would suggest that you apply for all of the institutes. Though note changes for Madras, Kanpur and Roorkee are more as compared to the other 2. Thanks and All the Best :)

Seeing your over profile, it seems a bit dicey to get a call. You can try applying but even if you get a call for the interview you will need to be at your absolute best to convert the same. Would suggest to go for another attempt of CAT in case this was your first one. A good score will catapult you into the elite colleges. Thanks and All the Best :)

    1. Hey.
First of all 2 months of workex would be considered as a fresher only. Next I would suggest filling in application forms of all the IITs since while your percentile is less, the category and other acads especially for 10th and 12th will help. Thanks and All the Best :)

I am assuming you are from the General category. If indeed so, then would suggest to apply at ones like Kanpur, Roorkee, Guwahati and Jodhpur. Though do note that the chances are still 50 50 with percentile and workex being the culprit. Thanks and all the best :)

what are my chances of getting interview calls ?
    CAT - 88.09 Percentile
    VARC - 95 percentile
    DILR - 38 percentile
    QUANTS - 88 percentile
    Female, non-engineer, OBC-NCL, fresher
and which IITs should i target ?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Hey.
The problem with the scores you have mentioned is with DILR. Since most of the IITs have started putting in sectional cutoffs now you will need to search for IITs which do not have sectional cutoffs. However, if this was your first attempt at CAT would suggest you go in for another attempt get a better score and better college next year since along with category you also have the advantage of academic and gender diversity. Thanks and all the best :)

While being Non-engineer is great, the percentile seems to be on a tad bit lower side. Hence, frankly the chances of getting a call is 50:50 and additionally even if you get a call you will need to be at your very best to bag the convert. But again saying that nothing is impossible. Thanks and All the Best :)
